The Good...

The Hero of Amish School tragedy was a 13 yr old girl Marian Fisher, the oldest child who asked to be shot first in a attempt to buy more time for the police to save the other children.

Hero MPS Patrol Cop shoots Montreal Canada College Gunman!

 Montreal Canada 11/13/2006. 1PM  Brave Hero Patrol officer 

 Hunted down a Gunman equipped with automatic weapons that started shooting outside Dawson college and left a trail of blood and injured with one victim now dead.  The Hero cop shot and killed 1 gun men the gunmen was shooting students lying on the floor.

A video made by a student with his cell phone showed him and another cop confronting the gunman and shooting.

  A student witness says groups of students where laying on floor and gunman was yelling at police to **** off and get out, then the gunman

shot his friend laying on floor and 2 others laying on the floor when the police officer shot gunman down. Later I saw film footage with that witness with friend from before his interview, a girl shot (his Friend) and being put into an ambulance

 and the student with blood all over his back,

also you see one  Montréal police officer on a lot of the film out of breath with all his fellow cops patting him on the back, and him telling everyone what happened, visibly shaken. Then about 20 minutes latter they back a car in front of him to protect his privacy. Another witness said he looked over the balcony into the cafeteria and saw the officer behind a open door below prepping his weapon ready to shoot. Unlike Columbine this cop prevented more carnage from happening by putting the students lives before his own, I am sure he thought he was going to get shot or die himself. The Montréal police are reporting 20 injuries and no deaths of victims as of 5:48 pm, 11/13/2006. 6:04PM Montréal police confirm the first police officer at scene was Hero Cop and didn't wait for swat teams and might have saved all victims lives, 20 victims still in hospital. OH Canada!
 Police officers die for there mistakes trying to keep themselves alive while keeping the public safe but are taught and practice staying alive before saving the public. This is why in Columbine CO so many students died. The sheriffs where more worried about their own safety before the kids that where left unprotected. Cops hiding behind dieing kids I would call it.  Yes now most police departments tell there officers to go into schools without backup now, but that was because of public outcry. Hopefully the police now know that it's kids first. 20 Yrs ago you would have to worry about woman first too.

The Bad

How many years after Columbine is it? Yet some police departments are still not going in right away when there is a gunman loose in a school. There where 2 cops there within 60 seconds of the call to 911.

 The results are always the same. Innocent children dead and the sick "O" killing themselves while police stand around planning what to do next. The difference from being a HERO or a goat is realizing that kids lives mean more than cops lives to the public which you are suppose to be protecting and any delay in going after a schoolhouse gunman is not acceptable,( 50 yrs ago it would have been woman and children first, but thanks to equal rights it only children now) it will lead to the deaths of children, you don't wait for SWAT, you don't setup a perimeter and you don't wait for a hostage negotiator! You go in and shoot the guy dead period!

Wrong  way to deal with school gun man situation- The death toll in Monday's schoolhouse murder-suicide in the Amish region of Lancaster PA. is six, as two more innocent children died overnight, PA state police reported.

Also, when are we going to learn just as this guy was a sexual deviate, homos also have taken the last 30 years to tell us they are not mentally ill and are not a danger to anyone, but as anyone who ever listens to Howard Stern knows and now with as is shown congressmen Foley scandal first reported on stopsexpredators.blogspot.com , they are most often victims of sexual abuse by a adult male in their youth, as female strippers are usually victims of sexual abuse by adult male family members, so while they disserve our understanding of their mental illness, it is an mental illness that is self perpetuating.  Meaning they often try to perpetrate the same crime against teens and children themselves when they become adults and they should not be allowed as school teachers or in any position involving children and minors.

Atlanta police Shoot 92 year old woman after breaking down the door and rushing in. This begs me to ask the question if you have to wait for the warrant, why didn't you wait for swat to serve it?

Is the only time the police wait outside a door before going in is when its at a school when they should be going in? I will say this only once if you are plain cloths and you kick someone's door down expect top get shot, unless you have a big bright orange hunters vest on that say police across the front and back when you enter, if you don't wait for uniformed help or the swats to go in.  

One bright spot is at least the Atlanta police showed some humility and reported what happened in a truthful and timely fashion and did not try to cover it up and fan the flames of discontent. I hope they change their procedure from now on! 3 shot and wounded cops  and one dead 92 yr old grand mother should wake everyone up!

In my opinion this all this would have been averted had the VT campus administration and the police, campus, state and sheriffs and who ever else had released a description of an Asian man being wanted for murder that morning.

They had warned the students by email to be cautious and that their had been a shooting on campus, and you can see from this video that a student was taking with a cell phone that the police where stationed all over the campus, including outside the building that the shooting was happening at.

The conclusion I have drawn is that while police knew what the perp looked like, they thought they could pick him out of 25 thousand students without the help of the students and instead of enlisting the help of the students, they choose to keep his identity secret as not to scare him off the campus, when in all reality it would have been nice if he did leave the campus or other  students could have avoided him or reported him to the police that where looking for him.

You know your not in Iraq looking for insurgents or in the inner city looking for drug dealers and the no one was going to warn this guy if you put his suspected identity out there for everyone to know.

Just maybe all this death would have been avoided.

Now we all find out that this student on a rampage had previously been identified and brought to the attention of campus police for anger filled, writings filled with revenge and murder of a man who abused children.

 Also campus police had been warned about aberrant behavior by this Korean man from his fellow students'.

 After Columbine the campus police should have know that this kid fit the profile of someone about to go postal and should have warned all teachers and staff about this guy.

 Also they should have placed his image in a face recognition program so that campus security cameras would be able to locate him on a moments notice, if they where worried about slander or liable liability this should have been done without warning employees.

In all actuality the student pictures and employee pictures of all who are on campus should be on this system and it should scan the campus looking for all those identified as trouble as the Korean gunman was and also look for people not in the picture database and identify them as suspicious and having no reason to be on campus.

Then they could be manually identified as outside contractors, deliver people or suspicious.
